The Reed

The Reed at Southbank is a 513,000 sf, 41-story cast-in-place concrete structure. Our team brought the superstructure to completion in August of 2022. The entire project will complete in 2023 and feature 224 rental apartment units, 216 condominium units and a variety of amenity spaces. The Reed is the first high-rise in Chicago built with a new low-carbon concrete mix to reduce the building’s overall carbon footprint. Our team maintained a three-day pour cycle throughout the duration of the project with a daily crew size of 90.
